How it works

  • Standard filesEvery message is a plain .eml file in Maildir-style folders, readable by other mail tools.
  • Any folder, any driveMove the vault to an external drive, a NAS mount or another folder. MailVault copies everything, checks every file arrived, then removes the originals. Not available in the Mac App Store edition.
  • Works offlineSaved mail opens and searches with no connection and no server.
