Manual backups are free and will always be free. Messages are saved as standard EML files in Maildir-style folders. Open them in other apps that support EML, or use compatible Maildir tools. Import steps and folder support vary by app.

You can also download first, open Settings → Billing and choose Yearly. The 14-day trial is for your first yearly subscription; if you have subscribed before with the same email, the trial is skipped and the yearly plan is charged right away.
The yearly subscription starts charging after the trial unless you cancel first. Monthly subscriptions are charged when you subscribe and do not include the yearly trial. Review the amount, payment details, and renewal date in checkout before confirming.
MailVault is in early access. If you subscribe at today’s Early Bird & Family Pricing, your rate stays the same as long as your subscription is active, even after prices increase. The standard price after early access, $6/month or $39/year, applies to new subscribers.
You keep access to your saved mail and Free features. Premium remains active until the end of your trial or paid period, then the app returns to Free. Cancel during the yearly trial to avoid the subscription charge.
